Our elements consist of a tubular heater formed into the correct diameter, shape, and size based on the storage tank mechanical element area. There are a variety of sheath materials such as InColoy 840 the industry standard as well as InColoy 800, InConnell 600, Copper, and Titanium that are available upon request.
There are many varieties of designs available for the water heater group of heaters. For a brief and not exhaustive listing of the types of water heaters we offer please see the following UL recognized catalog numbers of water heater designs to order from such as: SG, SGB, SGS, FTG, TG, LS, SGW, and TGW. For reference the abbreviation of NPSM is for National Pipe Straight Thread and abbreviation of NPT is National Pipe Thread. Please see the below notes for the definitions of each of the catalog numbers.
SG – screw plug made from cold rolled steel material typically used for one-inch NPSM plugs
SGB – screw plug made from brass material typically used for one-inch NPT plugs
SGS – screw plug made from stainless steel material used for a variety of plugs
FTG – recessed square flange made from cold rolled steel material
TG – standard square flange made from cold rolled steel material
LS – recessed flange non-square made from cold rolled steel material
SGW – screw plug made from varies materials used with the “water wizard” heater
TGW – square flange made from cold rolled steel material used with the “water wizard” heater
Each of these catalog numbered types of water heaters there are two main groups of design that will determine the dimensions and the shape of the water heater. The two main groups are low watt density and high watt density. For the shape of the water heater there is either a hair pin shape (two legs) or a fold back shape (four legs).
On our heaters we typically design to be within a tolerance range of a watt density with a value of two hundred on the water heater sheath. Depending on the wattage requirements and the immersion length requirements the heater will fall into either the low watt density or high watt density group.
For special voltage requirements we offer the water heaters with the following list of voltages to satisfy your needs: 208V, 220V, 240V, 480V, 575V, and 600V.
